Chemical Witch Hunt

Just when you thought science had overcome superstition and fear, Louisville Metro Mayor Craig Greenburg demonstrates his inability to hold back the paranoia fear and hyperbole.  Ask yourself why someone finding a house containing stable chemicals that could easily be sorted for safe disposal, would want to set fire to it creating a massive release of chemicals and a toxic sludge pile, contaminating air, water and ground.

The answer according to Louisville Metro is that when they dress up in their spacesuits they might accidentally knock things off the shelf. We haven’t seen this level of paranoia and fear since the Salem witch trials and the California child abuse investigation.  The mayor wants the “house and everything in it incinerated.

The mayor says repeatedly “we are not going to go through with until I am satisfied that this can be done in the safest possible way.” (video 1:45.) (“Safely as possible”, video 2:33; )  The rest of the speakers keep saying “We are going … to have a controlled burn.”  Who is deceiving whom?  The emergency staff have no intention of letting this opportunity for excitement pass!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2PH90_5H3c&ab_channel=WHAS11

Are our safety folks so afraid of chemical names they cannot spell, that they think they need spacesuits?  And when the suits make them clumsy, does that really justify the inability to pull out the loose junk in the rooms?  They show pictures of a little miscellaneous junk thrown around, claim its a danger to whole community, and to make the case they call it “extreme hoarding.”  Is that some kind of new scientific standard?

Does it sound reasonable that they can’t deal with it because their spacesuits are too clumsy?  The owner has been coming and going for decades and seems in decent health.  The Emergency Director says privately, “We don’t show the other pictures [i.e. the whole truth] because of our ongoing investigation.”  Do they seriously think the defense won’t get their pictures?  Why are they turning a molehill into a mountain?  Fear in the leadership is creating hysteria where none is needed.   Metro Louisville is about to create a huge chemical release in air and water and poison the ground leaving a big pile of chemical sludge in a basement.  This is insane.  There is no reason they cannot take the chemicals out one container at a time for proper disposal.

Some conspiracy theorists might call it covering up the lack of evidence.  Why did they not take questions from the floor?  What are they afraid of?
